LATEST NEWS: CorFest is having a rest in 2012 as the Village will be celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee instead, but we hope to be back bigger and better that ever in 2013!
Welcome to CorFest11

CorFest is Corfe Castle's annual festival of fun from the heart of the Isle of Purbeck. It takes place in and around the historic and very picturesque village.

CorFest is having a rest in 2012 as the Village will be celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee instead, but we hope to be back bigger and better that ever in 2013!

CorFest11 was the fourth CorFest festival and it took place on the 10th, 11th and 12th of June 2011.
On the Friday night we had hoped to start the weekend's fun with the regular School's Music and Dance event in the grounds of Corfe Castle. Unfortunately the heaven's opened just as we we're about to start and we were very sadly forced to call it off.

Luckily the weather on Saturday was glorious and the Church Coffee morning and CorFest in the Castle were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who came. CorFest in the Castle was jam packed with things to see and do this year; There was a great Craft and Produce fair, a fantastic dog and pet show organised by Margaret Green Animal Rescue, Jigsaw the Jester kept all the children, (and adults!), amused, Double Act frightened everyone with their medieval murder mystery and the Wessex International Majorettes kept us all entertained. By the end of the day over 2000 people had visited CorFest, we hope they all had as much fun as we did!

The weather on Sunday was worse that on Friday! So our open air CorFest Songs of Praise was moved into St Edward's Church and our It's a Knockout Competition was cancelled.

There are lots more photos in our CorFest11 Gallery, please have a look!

We would like to say a really huge thank you to everyone who came and helped to make CorFest11 the most successful CorFest yet, despite the weather!
